Activity Center

We are excited about Covenant Harbor offering a new facility that is sure to add excitement and value to your experience. This year-round building will provide additional indoor meeting and recreation space for all to enjoy!  

 

Expanded Gym

Two full court scrimmage-sized basketball courts or one regulation-sized court give guests more space for more play. Space is configured to accommodate a variety of sports and a dividing wall allows for simultaneous activities. One group could be playing basketball while another group is playing volleyball.

 

Large Group Gatherings

In addition to recreation options, the gym is designed to accommodate large group gatherings. It will be equipped with a stage and extensive A/V equipment. Appropriate lighting and breakout areas will be available.

 

Meeting Rooms

There are two formal meeting rooms on the second floor that may each accommodate up to 75 people or may be combined to accommodate a single group of up to 150. 

 

Indoor Climbing Wall

Our popular climbing wall will now also be available indoors for year-round fun. The state of the art 33-foot high climbing wall will offer new challenges on several surfaces. The distinct space will allow for climbing even if the gym is in use.

 

Game Lounge

A designated area for informal gatherings will encourage guests to relax with card tables, ping pong, carpet ball, foosball and more.

 

Facts about the Activity Center
  • The building will be used as meeting space for summer camps where campers can make all the noise they want without bothering others in the community. It will also provide other kinds of meeting and recreation space year round as noted above.     
  • This building will open up all kinds of possibilities for new activities at Covenant Harbor including the hosting of the Central Conference Annual Meeting in April, 2009.
  • The building, located above the office and triplets, will have 16,000 square feet of floor space.
Current Situation

Cost

Anticipated cost for completion and all furnishings is expected to be $2,900,000.

The first phase of the building could be made ready for occupancy for $2,400,000. 

Current pledges received for the Activity Center are $1,825,000. Gifts, large and small, are still needed.
