Family Camp July 4 - 9, 2010

Family camp brings the best of Covenant Harbor's summer program and quality staff to your entire family.  Stay in the Geneva Bay Centre conference facility or in any of our cabins.  There is so much to do - relax at the waterfront, try mountain boarding or have a night on the town while we take the kids.  Enjoy a speaker, songs, great food, plenty of freetime and lots of staff interaction for kids and adults.

 

Families with kids with special needs have a place at Covenant Harbor . From worship to waterfront, campfires and crafts, THRIVE families will enjoy the family camp experience at their own pace. We’ll take care of the details so you can rediscover yourself and your family in an environment designed for you to THRIVE.  Check the THRIVE box on the registration form and include a special needs registration form for the applicable camper.   Click here for more information.

 

Grandparents are encouraged to bring their grandchildren to family camp.  A personal staff buddy and lots of activities will make it fun for everyone!

Lodging

Choose your lodging when you register.  Meals will be served in the Geneva Bay Centre or camp lodge, depending on where you are staying.  Bring your own towels and linens if you are not staying in Geneva Bay Centre.  Geneva Bay Centre guests can save 10% by eating their meals in the camp lodge.  Engebretson Lodge and Guest House are set aside until March 15 for families sharing a room.  Each family can save 20% by sharing one of these spaces.  Click here to view lodging options.

  

Extra Night

Stay the night before or after family camp in Geneva Bay Centre for only $89 per night.  There is limited availability for the extra night option.

Typical Day

Due to the changing nature of our programs, each week offers a different mix of activities.   Below is a very general outline of what each day includes. Each day is a bit different than the one before.

 

8:15              Breakfast

 

9:30             Family Kickstart (a short worship service for the entire family)

 

10:15            Adult service (with our speaker of the week)

                       Kid's team activities (kids grouped by age & supervised by summer staff)

 

11:15            Kid's Real Faith with Harbor staff

 

12:30           Lunch

 

1:30              Free Time (lots of activities open, see heading above for activity listing)

 

5:30              Dinner

          

Evening      Evening Activity i.e. (Parent's night out, family extravaganza, etc.)

           

                      Family Prime Time (another worship service for the whole family)

           

10:00          Nightowls (Late night activities for Jr and Sr High students)
