Sterner Scholarship Fund
Purpose
This scholarship is designed to help students who can't afford to work at camp for a summer offset the money they would be making at a higher paying summer job. It is a need based scholarship, but so far every staff member who has applied has received some money towards their college tuition. You can apply for the scholarship and find out how much you'll receive before accepting a position at Harbor. Applications are continually being accepted and considered from now until the beginning of camp.
History
The Ronald Lee Sterner Trust Fund was established by the Sterner family in 1957 in memory of their son who was adopted through Covenant Children's Home and Family Services. The fund was designed to provide financial assistance for residents or staff members of Princeton Children's Home to pursue continuing education. Because the Princeton Children's Home no longer operates as it previously did, the funds have been made available to students working at Covenant Harbor or Covenant Point Bible Camps. Covenant Children's Home and Family Services administers the funds in accordance with the wishes of the Sterner family as stipulated in the Trust.
