Covenant Harbor Mission Adventure Trips
Our Vision for Missions
- To serve our brothers and sisters in Christ in other parts of the world. "For the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve." Matthew 20:28
What We Offer
We have several years experience in the mission field. The primary focus of our mission adventure trips includes building relationships through service projects. Previous trip projects have included installing river erosion deterrents, building construction, building a low ropes course, painting and trail maintenance, photography, videography, and planning and leading program activities. Our trips always include some adventure such as horseback riding, white-water rafting, climbing, camping, backpacking and trekking, and of course, being immersed in the local culture.
Mission Adventure Trips
- If you are curious about other cultures around the world, willing to lend a helping hand to another camp, are at least 16 years old and have a couple weeks to spare, then these trips are for you.
- We accept applications on an open-enrollment basis. Individuals not connected to a specific group are also welcome to apply. See below for specific dates and locations.
Group Mission Adventures
- Similar to our mission adventure trips, but custom-designed with your group in mind. If you lead or attend a youth group or small group of any kind, this trip is a perfect way to enhance group-bonding in a new atmosphere and help develop an attitude focused on the call to world missions.
Service Projects
- Don't have time to take twoweeks away for a mission adventure trip? Than try something a little closer to home. The Learning Center in Gary, Indiana is a perfect place to volunteer a day or weekend of your time.
International Staff Exchanges
- As we continue building relationships at sister camps all over the world, we've found it important to encourage them to visit camps in the U.S. to learn more about the diversity of camping ministry. Help support this ministry by assisting financially, hosting a staff member by providing a meal or lodging, or being a tour guide for the local area. You can be an important link for guests to feel welcome in our community.
