Our Camps
Yes, we're open! Covenant Harbor runs year round and offers a number of programmed events in every season. These programs run for a variety of different age groups and allow you to experience God's beautiful creation in the non-summer months.
Winter Day Camp (K-6th grades)
This 3 day program is a great opportunity for campers in grades K-6 from our local community to experience the best of camp in the winter. Each day of the Day Camp program is unique; sign up for one day or come to all three. There will be lots of fun outdoor activities along with time indoors to warm up. Campers will be able to go sledding, make fun crafts, sing songs, learn about the Bible and so much more. The camp runs from 9:00 to 5:00 and includes lunch. Deep Freeze (6-12th grades)
These weekend retreats are designed for junior high and high school students to attend with their youth groups or as an individual with a counselor we'll provide. Deep Freeze weekends are filled with fun and exciting winter activities that students may not get the chance to enjoy at home, as well as top quality Christian youth speakers and exciting worship music. Deep Freeze runs 4 weeekends in January and February with two Jr High weekends, one Sr High weekend and one weekend designed for groups of both Jr and Sr highers. Only the February weekends are open to individuals coming without a Church group. These weekends will be full of fun, excitement and plenty of oportunities for growth in Christ. Winter Fest (3-6th grades)
This is a great weekend for elementary kids. Kids are encouraged to come with a group from church with their own leaders, or on their own to stay with a counselor we provide. The weekend will be filled with exciting winter activities, fun skits, great worship, a quality speaker and much more. Set aside February 24-26, as this is a great chance for kids to experience Covenant Harbor in the winter. CLICK HERE to learn more about Winter Fest.
Moms & Daughters Retreat (all ages)
We all have busy lives at home but this retreat gives you a chance to take a break and really connect with family. The weekend will be filled with exciting activities, great worship and an encouraging speaker that will engage both adults and children. Our Philosophy
Covenant Harbor is a Christian camp, owned and operated by the Evangelical Covenant Church. We exist for the purpose of introducing people to Jesus Christ. The mission statement of Covenant Harbor is to "Draw people from their routines into opportunities to enjoy creation, recreation and relationships so that all will experience God through Jesus Christ." Our primary goal with our programs is to share God's love and the truth of Jesus Christ with them and to encourage growth. We think this happens best when students are building upon existing relationships they have with with their youth leaders, church volunteers or parents. We do this by building a retreat experience that presents Biblical truths in both large and small group settings. We incorporate top notch speakers, quality bands, skits, games and much more into our sessions to make them fun and meaningful.
Our goal is not to force those attendig our retreats to agree with us, or to make students decide what to believe. We simply hope to make them aware of a God who loves them and desires a relationship with them.

Our Staff
Covenant Harbor runs our seasonal camp programs with a core of full time staff and the help of highly qualified college and high school volunteers. The majority of our volunteers come from the ranks of our summer staff, some of whom grew up coming to Covenant Harbor as both summer and winter campers.
