March Right Around the Corner

We are tapping trees and collecting maple sap to cook into our special syrup! March is our mapling month--tapping, cooking, leading tours and ending with our trademark Maple Fest on the 25th. The maple season is fun but can be very busy since we we are in a sense farmers, when it is time to harvest, you work until it is done.

The maple season is also the mark of the change of seasons. The days are getting longer and warmer. The leaves are beginning to grow and burst with leaves. The wildflowers will begin to poke their heads out of the leaf beds in the woods. This is an exciting time of anticipation--anticipating the groups coming to have experiences unique from their routines. Just as the woods are transformed in the next few months, we hope that our guests are transformed in some way during their stay here. This is the real anticipation and excitement for us.
